Hace tres años, un grupo de médicos especialistas residentes en la ciudad de Punta Arenas, concibió la idea de implementar un modelo asistencial ambulatorio en el que coexistieron el paciente traumatológico como principal sujeto de la atención médica, médicos Traumatólogos, y un Servicio de Imágenes que brindara apoyo diagnóstico confiable a las decisiones de tratamiento tomadas por los profesionales de la salud. Así es como nace el Centro Médico Imágenes Médicas y Traumatología – IMET.
El proyecto considera amplios estacionamientos y un edificio multifuncional de 2.400 m2 distribuidos en dos plantas, que considera en su primer nivel seis consultas traumatológicas, servicio de imagenología y área de recepción, además de dos pabellones de cirugía menor y dental, área de recuperación, toma de muestras de sangre, y un sector comercial que incluye Farmacia y Cafetería. En tanto, el segundo piso tendrá 14 consultas que aumentarán la oferta de atención médica de otras especialidades, vestidores, duchas y sala de estar para el personal, sala de subestaciones y tableros eléctricos, un Auditorio para 40 personas y un áea de 300 m2 que será destinada a pabellón ambulatorio. Dos ascensores, dos escaleras interiores, pasillos, balcon, escaleras de evacuación, puertas con palanca antipánico, red seca y húmeda complementan las condiciones que entregarán al mismo tiempo confort y seguridad a todos los usuarios.
La construcción y materialización del centro médico IMET, considera una moderna edificación de acero, de diseño flexible, con calidad de excelencia y acorde con las exigentes normas nacionales, que es capaz de responder a las necesidades cambiantes del entorno. Two elevators, two interior staircases, corridors, balconies, evacuation stairs, doors with anti-panic lever, dry and wet network complement the conditions that will at the same time provide comfort and safety to all users.
